Soulagement is masculin not feminin
Thank you, Alice. I will fix this.
Thank you! Love the review idea, keep it up s.v.p!
Wonderful idea, your vocab roundup, Kristi! Amazing how much we can learn from you, and not just the words. Miss you, Amiga.
Hello Kristi. Many thanks for the vocab roundup. I think it’s an excellent idea and very well organised and set out. To be honest though, my main motivation and delight is the sense of France and of sharing your life – pure pleasure and escapism. I think we all draw different benefits from your blog, a word which doesn’t begin to describe the richness of what you offer to each and every one of us. I hope and pray that some of your stress and anxieties will soon lessen. Thank you again.
Well said, Margaret.
What I really like are Jean-Marc’s “full stories”; it’s good to listen to the flow of the language. Merci bien, Kristi et Jean-Marc.
I thought that this format was the best learning experience for me in learning vocabulary and pronunciation of the words. Please continue with this kind of enhancement to my learning.
Thank you!
Merci mille fois! This IS an enhancement. Great idea. Of course the stories are the heart and soul of your missives (and keep us all connected!), but the roundup idea works very well and encourages me to re-read and review in context.
Thank you! Great review. And thank you for this site. I so appreciate it and you.
Hi Kristi, I love all that you and Jean-Marc offer to your online French-loving community. Please keep the new vocab list coming. Words in a French Life is part of my French library and I am now revisiting it as a vocabulary review…and also rereading some chapters. I have several others of yours and I enjoy them immensely. Like Cynthia said, we learn so much from you in so many ways. You are such a joy! Furthermore, I absolutely love, love, love your photography (I love photography almost as much as French :)). Many thanks to you and good wishes to you all in the search of your new home.
terrific, yes make it a staple, trust all is well, Lou
Thank you, Classis, and thank you all for your feedback on this vocabulary roundup! It is raining softly here in St-Cyr-sur-Mer, and a pleasure to be cozy here inside, reading your thoughtful comments.
What I love most about FWAD is your insightful and delightful writing! The vocabulary and lovely photography are icing on the cake. Thank you so very much.
Yes, the review is fantastic! I love the little book you highlighted at the end. I have indeed given it to friends over the years. It is delightful.
The re-cap is ideal for those who deal with far far too many emails. It has already been printed and is in my Word-a-Day flle. Thanks Kristin.

Your vocabulary review is most helpful, Jean Marc. Perhaps it would help to say each twice, once right after the other. I know I can switch with your recordings, but I lose continuity in doing so. Many thanks for all you and Kristi do to let us know you, France and French. -julie-
Julie, that is a great idea for Jean-Marc to say each word twice. Thanks!
Dear Kristi and Jean-Marc,
This is a great learning tool! I should think that this is especially helpful to the school teachers who share FWAD with their students. Perhaps you might consider trying this with some of the words and phrases
from Jean-Marc’s posts. With each new addition you make, our French language horizon becomes brighter. There may be some subliminal learning going on for your readers! Keep it up please!
I’d agree, the once-a-month vocab round-up is very helpful. Thanks.

Cher Kristi et Jean-Marc,
Merci Beaucoup pour cela! C’est magnifique! J’adore votre blog et votre photos.
Thank you!!!
Chris, Good idea about including the phrases from JMs bilingual stories. Thanks!
I love the new vocabulary/pronunciation feature you have started, please continue. It is so helpful with my pronunciation of the beautiful French language. I have basics but this is so helpful in learning new words and phrases!
Thank you for your beautiful stories and pictures and now the french pronunciation lessons. Keep up the wonderful work you do bringing a little bit of French life to us!!
Diana D.
Bonjour, Kristin, C’est un très bon moyen de faire une étude du vocabulaire. Vous vous intéressez être enseignante? Il me semble que vous avez un don pour la communication.
Our dear Kristi,
This vocabulary round up/pronuciation must have been A LOT of work for both you and Jean Marc(!),but it is absolutely wonderful(!!!),and helps us learn so much.THANK YOU!
Through the years I have been keeping a notebook with all your words and phrases ;I really enjoy reviewing them, renewing things I had forgotten or slipped through thoses cracks in my mind.
I love all your books, but WORDS has to be my favorite(which I will now get on Kindle).
It was how I first learned about you and FWAD,having found it in a lovely little book store while we were on vacation.
It was such a joyful time in my life, and now each time I re-read your words, the happiness I felt then just wraps itself around my heart all over again.
How many you touch with your joie de vivre and inspiration!
Love

Totally love the “Round-up”- reminding us of your American roots!! Also, very helpful to have all the words in one place- makes me pay more attention.
Just love hearing about all your life happenings- a delight.

Merci pour cette révison. C’est génial!
Great idea…. I have been adding your words to a file I call “more fun French words,” but my file is not organized in any way. This will be very helpful. Thanks for everything, especially sharing your life with strangers….
Joan
Love the vocabulary round-up— keep it monthly.
Kristi,
Love the review idea!!
Hi Joan! It has been a while since the Normandy cruise, but I think about you every time I go to my daughter’s house to take care of her dog and drive by the Delaware Highlands, which I did yesterday! Hope all is well with your family…and hello to Glenn!
I like this new feature. Keep it monthly.
Excellent idea Kristi
Echoing others, this round up is a great idea for all of us!! Thank you! P.S. Noticed the donate button is gone, will you be putting it back up? God bless, C-Marie

Love seeing this message.
Thank you so much for being able to listen to all the vocabulary . Please keep up the good work, much appreciated
I love the new vocabulary review. It will assist me in my vow to improve my spoken French before my holiday visit in June/July.
Hi Kristen,
I’ve been reading you for years, but this is the first time I’ve commented. Yes, by all means make the vocabulary round-up a monthly feature! I had read all of the articles, so it was nice to go back and have a review of the words. I have lived in France part of the year in the Lot for many years, and your blog always helps me add to my vocabulary when I’m home here in America. Thanks so much!
Love the monthly summary. Great review. Thanks
